"Something off the trolley, dears?"
You can't have a wizarding party without some wizarding food.  Along with our Muggle hot dogs and chips, we had an assortment of Honeyduke's sweets instead of the usual cake and ice cream.  To drink we had Butterbeer (cream soda with butterscotch flavoring) and Pumpkin Juice (orange Kool-Aid).
Pumpkin Pasties
Cockroach Clusters
(I got the recipes for these two from this website.)
We also had "Bertie Bott's Every-Flavor Beans" (jelly bellies) and Acid Pops (disguised as Dum-Dums so the Muggles wouldn't know what they were).   The candies were all wrapped and labled, and came in a larger bag which said "Honeydukes Sweet Shop".
But the star of the show was...

CHOCOLATE FROGS!!
Complete with Famous Witch and Wizard cards!
This was actually a soap mold we found at Michael's Crafts, and I used candy melts.  Very easy.
Because I made so many cards, each student got six of them with their frog.  I found the images at The Harry Potter Lexicon website, in their index of famous witches and wizards.  (I think they are from one of the Harry Potter video games.)  I put a little biographical blurb about each witch or wizard on the back, and laminated them.  There were not card images for Dumbledore or the Hogwarts founders, so I just made some up.  The pictures of each came from that website though.
The kids had fun looking at all the cards and swapping with each other.
The party ended with a screening of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."  All in all, it was a lot of fun, both the planning and the actual party.  Emily had a really good time, and Matthew wants to have a Harry Potter party for his birthday next year.  We'll see... :)

Hope you enjoyed our party pictures!
